Fraser attorney co-authors book on new Michigan Trust Code
The Michigan Trust Code ("MTC") became effective on April 1, 2010. Marlaine C. Teahan was a member of the MTC drafting committee and is a co-editor of the recently published book, Trust Administration Under the Michigan Trust Code. Institute of Continuing Legal Education ("ICLE"), 2010. This comprehensive guide to trust administration was completely re-written in light of the new MTC.
Ms. Teahan was on the faculty of ICLE's 50th Annual Probate and Estate Planning Institute and spoke on the new Court Rules implemented due to the passage of the new Michigan Trust Code. Her presentation was given in Traverse City in May, 2010 and will be given again at the Annual Institute in Plymouth in June.
