Marlaine C. Teahan joins Fraser Trebilcock
Lansing, MI: Fraser Trebilcock Davis & Dunlap, P.C. is pleased to announce that Marlaine C. Teahan has joined the Firm as a shareholder in the Trusts and Estates practice group. Ms. Teahan focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, estate and gift tax, guardianships, and conservatorships.
Ms. Teahan is a member of the American Bar Association’s Taxation and Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Sections and the State Bar of Michigan’s Taxation Section and Probate and Estate Planning (PEP) Section, where she serves on the Section's Council, is a member of the Michigan Trust Code Committee, and chairs the Committee on Michigan Court Forms and the Subcommittee on Michigan Court Rules for the Michigan Trust Code. Ms. Teahan is also a member of the Ingham County Bar Association’s Probate and Trust Section and is the President and a Board Member of the Greater Lansing Estate Planning Council. In 2006 she completed the Probate and Estate Planning Certificate Program, cosponsored by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) and the PEP Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Ms. Teahan is a presenter for ICLE as part of the probate certificate program, a chapter author of ICLE’s “Michigan Estate Planning Handbook,” and the coeditor of ICLE’s “Trust Administration in Michigan” (new edition forthcoming in 2010). For 2010, she has been listed in “The Best Lawyers in America” for Trusts and Estates.
